Attaching a patch to allow AppleWebKit/?420 and higher to use RTE.

By the way, I tested this by reducing the threshold to 419, which matches my build, and reloading the editor. It works just fine.

Re-opening for consideration for 2.2 . Justification:

  • Low risk, non-intrusive for other users. Trunk and 2.2 currently have the same version of TinyMCE
  • Mac friendly features result in good blog/press coverage, encouraging adoption
