Adding the recent posts widget to a blog gives me:

%BEG_OF_TITLE%Recent Posts%END_OF_TITLE%

output on the page.

many people are still reporting the %BEG_OF_TITLE%Recent Posts%END_OF_TITLE% issue (included on Plugin: Get Recent Comments). i would definitly say that this issue is not solved yet. I myself have wp 2.5.1 and i have this issue on Plugin: Get Recent Comments. Hope you guys will solve it!

by the way..of course people are still reporting this issue on wp 2.5.1.

This is most likely a problem with the plugin and not WordPress.

Any traction if its a plugin or wordpress issue at cause here?

Re-closing as fixed, The core widgets do no suffer from the fault, so chances are its the plugin causing the error.
