WordPress upgrade failing

Description

While it has been working well until yesterday, the automatic WordPress upgrade is failing on me now. Here's what I get back when I try it:

Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/nightly-builds/wordpress-latest.zip

Unpacking the core update

Could not create directory: [path details removed]/blog/wp-content/upgrade/core/wordpress/

Installation Failed

I have tried it on two different machines so I don't think that a permissions change on my end has done this.

What Filesystem method are you using for upgrades?

Direct Access (No prompts), FTP, FTPS, or SSH?

Replying to DD32:

What Filesystem method are you using for upgrades?

Direct Access (No prompts), FTP, FTPS, or SSH?

I am getting no prompts for any further information so it looks like direct access. There is no SSH installed so it cannot be that.

Ok, Chances are, Its fixed by a patch on #7690.

I'm currently working on related code patches, and believe i was getting that error yesterday.
